Our Trip Curation offers are a hybrid between DIY travel planning, and the traditional travel agency.
We designed these options for those who feel overwhelmed with the travel options available and the time it takes to plan trips with the quality and uniqueness you crave.
There are NO minute-to-minute itineraries as we know that's not how you flow on your travels...neither do we.
You don't need a middle-man but you do want help cutting through the noise to find options that are bound to give you a personal experience, just right for YOU.

Travel design is an art. No two people experience a single destination in the same way and that’s why we love figuring out what makes you tick, and create a trip best suited for you and your fellow travelers. Our services are as custom as are the trips that our clients take, but we offer a few base packages that we can customize as needed.

We want you to hit the ground knowing you can pull personal and vetted recommendations up on your phone at any time without spending hours upon hours researching to find them before or during your travels.
Our vetted options are almost always locally owned and responsibly operated with a commitment to people and planet.

Bespoke Travel Guides are for those travelers that want to feel like they have the local intel on their destination in their back pocket.
We’ll curate experiences just right for you whether you enjoy focusing on art and design, looking for special exhibits and galleries; if you eat clean and organic, living a low toxin life, even in your travels; or are a wine enthusiast looking for unique wine bars and cellars.

How we differ from a traditional travel agency:
Most agencies are bound to working with larger hotels and specific tour groups. We wanted to break apart from that standard and choose our own partners whose values aligned with our own.
We don’t book your trip, we curate it. We give you options to pick and choose from so you can stay flexible while you travel and not bound to a strict itinerary. Our curated guides are custom-created for each of our clients.
We don’t take commissions from our partners, so you can be sure the choices we provide for your trip are not monetarily driven.

About your curators
Good Trips founder and lead curator, Katy, is a design-loving New Orleans native who grew up shaped by the art, design, music, and famously good food her hometown is known for. Her background designing sustainable tourism destinations, landscape architecture, and lifestyle/wellness coaching drives her passion to design unique and soulful experiences for travel lovers.
Katy works with a team of curators, travelers, and writers who share Good Trips’ core values of sustainability, service and hospitality, integrity, and design.
Our expertise is primarily in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Central America, and The United States. For those areas we don’t know as well, we tap into our network of fellow travel and hospitality professionals that do.

We will provide every option that suits your needs and meets our criteria of a good hotel. That’s typically 1-3 per destination, but occasionally up to five, depending on what is available.

In that case, we first reach out to our wide network of travel peers for referrals. We go on to do a LOT of research on our end to make sure we’ve found all possibilities for a good stay. We thoroughly vet all options to find those that will align with your values and meet our criteria. We communicate directly with the hotels to ensure availability, to get a sense of their hospitality level, and get intel on the best rooms for you to book based on your needs.

We can often reserve accommodations, but we will not take your credit card. In that case, we will have the hotels email an invoice directly to you.

Yes! It’s at an additional cost. Verified offsets are pricey but we encourage you to do your part and purchase additional offsets through us for extra travelers. You will see the option to add the offsets in our invoice.

No. These costs cover our consultation and research services, plus carbon offsets for two travelers. They do not include any of your travel expenses.

No. We offer high-level cost analysis and recommend flights, but we will not book them for you.

Many ways! The biggest distinction we have is that we are independent and not bound to any specific hotels or destinations. One of the reasons we started Good Trips was to promote and expand the audience for smaller, locally owned hotels, which are not typically referred to by traditional agencies.

Our consultation, research, and design fees start at USD$375 for a simple, one-destination hotel curation. Prices will increase depending on the length of the trip, amount of destinations, how far in advance we plan, how many travelers there are, and the complexity of the trip.
