The Henrietta
London is always a good idea
The Experimental Group enters London’s Covent Garden neighborhood, and we could not be more excited about this hotel. With the Experimental Group’s properties always comes pristine design, attention to sustainability, and a passion for making badass food and beverages.
The Hotel
Henrietta Hotel is based in a two lovely townhouses in a lively, young, and culture-infused area in the West End of London. Designed by Dorothee Meilichzon, the hotel’s 18 unique bedrooms are underscored by red and blue tones, which bring elegance, simplicity, and an uplifting urban vibe to your home away from home at the Henrietta.
Beautiful stay-there-all-day rooms are formed by intentional details. A freestanding bath with a view of the London Eye is hardly a coincidence, nor are the perfectly pleasing dual-colored headboards (and, you can count on these unique color combinations to arise in other parts of the room as well). You won’t move into a mansion-sized room at The Henrietta, but you’ll appreciate every second of your time there, every detail in every corner of the room, and all else that the hotel has to offer. Hotel Henrietta turns moments into experiences, whether looking up at a wall of mirrors, out upon St. Paul’s Church, or relaxing in a beautiful, light-filled bedroom.
The Area
London layovers, day trips or lengthy stay, you can experience all that the Henrietta has to offer. Your neighborhood, the Covent Garden is the place to find hip boutiques, high-end shops, restaurants with all of the stars, theaters, and museums. If that’s your jam, this is your spot.
Food and Drink
As with all Experimental hotels, the group’s founders celebrate drinks, dining, and all that comes with it at restaurant Da Henrietta. Flair, masterful taste (both culinary and design), energy, and community come together on the ground floor at Da Henrietta, and we’re sure you’ll stay all night.
The menu honors the Tyrrhenian sea of western Italy as well as an ever-changing western-European landscape. Unexpected combinations of flavors and foods and creative takes on local staples (freshly-made campanelle with locally-sourced veggies, ricotta, and truffle, anyone?) will make you wish you could move into the kitchen. Top off your night at the private mezzanine and bar by enjoying crafty cocktails, a glass off of the carefully curated cognac list, or a deliciously uncommon bottle from the wine cellar. From its food and drinks, to its elegant design and lively atmosphere, we know that Da Henrietta will make your evening the best it could possibly be.
Good things to know
While the hotel is family friendly (babysitters on hand with notice, menus catered to the littles, etc.), it can be lively.. If you’re not into the family-friendly scene in the traditional sense, but do love to bring the littles along, this could be your perfect sustainable stay. The hotel doesn’t allow pets. Children under 3 are free. Additional person charges may apply in certain rooms and/or suites.
